Can someone tell me of a support group near Syracuse, NY? If there is none, can someone lead me to a person who could help me start one? I am Adoptee, 65 years old, found bio family when I was 21, just last year I received information of birth from the hospital I was born in, and an old paper copy of my newborn photo...and then I legally took back my birth name. I am now in the process of trying to obtain my adoption records. Three of my four parents are now deceased. My bio father is in a nursing home with dementia. I will never understand how the law still does not want me to see the story that is mine.
